Art of Nine records currently has the band "i9" in production. While the simplest way to catagorize i9 would be to gesture proudly to the progressive rock genre, it would fall considerably short in providing any true idea of what i9 is about. The brainchild of Nikki K, i9 was created as an outlet for her storytelling in the form of music. Think of reading a sci-fi or fantasy book, and then sitting back, closing your eyes, and composing a soundtrack complete with vocalists singing the stories in a manner that allows the reader to truly envision and create their own interpretation of things. Imagine the stories t be fuelled by great authors such as J. R.R. Tolkein; Roger Zelazny; Anne Rice; Stephen King; Anne Bishop; Kate Forsythe; George R. R. Martin..and so many more. And then accompany this with music inspired by musical giants such as Yes; Pink Floyd; Led Zeppelin; Rush; Dream Theater; Porcupine Tree; Mozart...and then add an edge...a "metal edge," such as that of Black Sabbath; Judas Priest; Iron Maiden..and even Pantera (DD, RIP). Infinite Realm is proud to have N. K. Sleeman as their first author, and her promising new work, "Shades of Gray" as the first written work. While the first of nine scheduled novels is still being written, we hope to have the first chapter available to download by 2008. "Shades of Gray" is a set of three trilogies. While the entire nine book series tells a story, each trilogy will stand well on it's own, as will each individual novel. Set primarily in a fictional universe, known as the "Ninth Eye," it follows several main characters throughout eras in history. The main character, known by the monicker "Infinite Gray," is of a race called the "Ether." The series could fall in the fantasy genre, but there are so many other genres that are intertwined throughout.
