i9 is the first artist on the new "Art of Nine" records. If i9 must be catagorized, progressive rock might be a good choice of classification. Drawing on musical greats such as Yes, Led Zepelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Dream Theater, and Porcupine Tree. Imagine combining storytelling with progressive rock, with the music backing these stories having more of a soundtrack type structure and feel, than the typical structure of a pop or top 40 styling. I guess if Steven Wilson sat down with Danny Elfman, John Williams , J. R. R. Tolkein and Jimmy Page...well, that would be something i9 could never dream of equalling, or approaching. But, that would be a pretty good way of describing the idea behind it!

"Shades of Gray" will be a series comprised of three trilogies. The central character is known by the nickname of "Infinite Gray." A work of fiction, drawing from many sources, experiences and imagination. This is writer N. K. Sleeman's first attempt at putting stories to paper. We hope to have at least the first chapter available to preview within the next year.
